The National Orchestra and Choir of Spain discloses its 23/24 Season, which includes a symphonic work commissioned to Federico Jusid.
Itinera 4.0 (for low brass concertante and symphony orchestra) will have its world premiere in January 2024.
CANNES PREMIERE
On the 50th anniversary of the Golden Shell for ‘The Spirit of the Beehive’, the maestro Víctor Erice returns to Cannes with the premiere of “Close your eyes” within the Official Selection out of competition.
The long-awaited film has an original score by Federico Jusid.
The projection was followed by a ten minute standing ovation for the Maestro Victor Erice and all the crew.
BAFTA NOMINATION
The English
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has nominated Federico Jusid, for his score for the Amazon/BBC series The English (dir. Hugo Blick) for the Best Original Music: Fiction. The award ceremony will take place in London on April 24. Fingers crossed for Federico!
CONCERT
the silence of their names
On March 2021 Federico Jusid conducted the Spanish National Radio and Television Orchestra and Choir at the Spanish National Auditorium for the Special Homage Concert to the Terrorism Victims. Jusid’s commisioned work The Silence of Their Names was premiered on this concert.
Kinetic Overture
Federico Jusid conducted the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra at the magnificent Teatro Colón of the Argentinean capital on November 2022, with a full auditorium.

Federico Jusid composed the original soundtrack for “Loving Pablo” with Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, “Neruda” based on the political persecution of the poet and communist senator Pablo Neruda, and “Kidnap” with Halle Barry directed by Luis Prieto.
