THE SILENCE OF THEIR NAMES
El silencio de sus nombres
World Premiere: March 2021. Madrid National Music Auditorium; Symphonic Orchestra and Choir RTVE.
On March 2021, Federico Jusid conducted the Spanish National Radio and Television Orchestra and Choir at the Spanish National Auditorium for the Special Homage Concert to the Terrorism Victims.
Jusid’s work The Silence of Their Names was premiered on this concert. It is a composition made altruistically commissioned by the Victims of Terrorism Foundation on the 20th anniversary of his birth. Dedicated to the relatives who have lost their loved ones and the survivors, the composer wants to transmit with this piece a message of pain and solidarity, but also a vital desire to improve, to «search for light».
